Welcome to the Bali for Families website .

This site has been created to help families, kids and first time visitors, prepare and get the most out of their Bali holiday. Bali is a great place for a family holiday - there are many hotels with rooms and facilities for families, great attractions and good food at reasonable prices. The shopping is great, you can buy anything from home wares to copy surf gear.

WARNING - We are getting increasing reports of people getting Bali Belly again .... whilst Bali seems increasingly cleaner etc. it still does not have western hygiene standards. Drink Bottled water, do not put your fingers in your mouth ( bite your nails at home!), be careful with ice if you are in a less than mainstream eating place ...etc be vigilant and stay healthy!

If you are trying to make up your mind which hotel to stay and and what to do with your family. Have a look at the family travelogues, this is where other families tell their stories about family holidays in Bali.....

Just a short request, if you make a booking with a hotel through this site and then change your mind, please let the hotel know so that they can resell the rooms. Thanks!

It's best not to drink spirit-based drinks in Indonesia such as Gin, Vodka or the local Arak. Dozens of locals and a few tourists have died or gone blind over the last few years, usually in the more remote areas of Bali or Lombok's Gili Islands. Due to big tax hikes recently, there are many new inexperienced backyard brewers who don't understand they have to remove the deadly Methanol that rises to the top when distilling arak. Some small bars have substituted this cheaper arak for spirits in mixed drinks to increase profits. Stick to beer, bottled water and fruit juices!

If you have a question or want to post information about your Bali holiday go to the forum.  We have increased the number of properties in the Bali family accommodation section and you can make bookings directly with the hotels listed!
