Bali, Through the Eyes and Mind of a Teenage Boy

Hi, my name is Mitchell and I am the son of the guy who built this web site. I am 14 years old and have been to bali three times with my family and friends and have had a ball each time. Now, it may seem a bit boring visiting the same joint three times but dad takes us to new places and hotels while staying in bali and we experience new cultures and events each time we visit the place. I also believe that visiting bali with other families who have kids makes the trip even more fun and worthwhile.

After visiting bali, I have found there is two things a kid must do while they are on the island to make the trip worthwhile. They are Visiting waterbom park (for at least a whole day, nothing less) And going to one of the go-kart hire places.

Waterbom park in kuta is one of the best water parks in the southern hemisphere, so that’s why it’s a must when visiting bali. there is a total of 8 water slides, 1 kiddy park full of small waterslides, a river rapid, plenty of pools (one with music underwater) and restaurants and a spa and sauna to keep the parents out of trouble (there is also massages there for all those slack mums). The best slide in the whole park would have to be the race track. this slide is basically vertical and takes 10 seconds to reach the bottom after climbing 400 stairs (I admit that it gets tiring, but remember your not going to be there for long, so get into it). this is a great place so make the most of the time you spend there.

The second wonder of bali are the go-karts in kuta or legian (kuta’s track is much better). There are two types of go-karts available for hire, a single or a double (doubles have one driver and one passenger). They are great fun and fly along. I don’t recommend you use the karts as bumper cars as the balinese owners get a bit upset. a Night out karting is great fun and chance to have a bit of road rage. I must Admit that I visited the track two or three times while staying in kuta. Driving these things is addictive and you’ll go back again and again.

So kids nag your parents so much so that they take you to this wonderful place because it is so much fun. There are plenty more things to do like White water rafting, bungy jumping, paintballing and many others. Overall bali is a great place to visit.

Happy holidaying
