We stayed in a great place, Putri Ayu Cottages on Jl. Bisman (centrally located & parallel to Monkey Forest Road) Off the map (south of Honeymoon), close to town, on the edge of the rice patties is an unpaved road that leads to a super clean room (2 buildings w/ 4 units each) with comfortable beds, hot water, A/C, great breakfast, nice pool, super sweet staff (the Balinese are some of the nicest people I've ever met) and a good price. We had a fabulous week at Putri Ayu. Our upstairs room was spacious, light
and airy with wonderful views over the rice padis. Great bathroom with
shower and separate bath tub, a large bed with mosquito net, air-con and a
wide verandah with comfortable furniture. From the verandah we enjoyed
watching the rice-growing process during the day and watching the sun set
during happy hour in the evening. Lovely pool, short walk to shops and
restaurants and lovely staff who looked after us.
